California Fair Cuisine

In my absence I see that there has been no lack of entertainment – complete with pictures.  Thanks Catherine!  🙂

I have now landed back in VA !  I have had many wonderful adventures while I was in CA and MO………I will share some of my fun adventures in tiny posts here and there.

OK – so here goes – one of the most unusual things that I did was to

……eat chocolate covered bacon at the Orange County Fair.  As you can see this treat produced  a variety of reactions from members of my family!  While I enjoyed the chocolate treat (and broke my tooth enjoying it) I did NOT sample the fried frog legs!

Simply Magical…

Hello my dear hearts! This will most likely be my last post with me coming home on Monday but I simply had to share!!!!!! Whata’ surprise when my family treated me to a multiple day stay in the mountains, just so I could experience my most favorite thing in the whole wide world – SNOW, SNOW and more SNOW, lovely, wispy, swirly, brilliant white snow with me dancing in the midst of it!!!!!!!!!!! I so hope you enjoy the magic almost as much as I did – life is so very good, especially when you remember to sing and dance and love all things, TTFN, CANNOT wait to see you soon, love and hugs, SAO

The Fields of Home.

Posted By on August 4, 2009

Just another brief note as I am winging my way back to CA. I have made such memories and collected such heartfelt moments in time that I simply can’t wait to share them with you but I must, at least for now anyway…

I’ve had so many wonderful and exciting adventures and while home in KC, I happened across this wondrous field of sunflowers, something we are known for in the Midwest and the Land of Oz. There are now soooooooooooo many varieties of sunflowers but no matter the size, shape or color, they all remain true to their internal worship of the sun, following it’s path across the Earth’s daily rotation, smiling faces ever vigil…….. This homage fascinates me and I often find myself paralleling this action to that of friends and family and their relationship to all those around them, happy, smiling faces, ever welcomed and rewarded for thier efforts, brightest in the brilliant light of day as they follow their hearts…

Enjoy the pictures, I’m off again to the coast, soon to return to the Commonwealth, what fun we’ll have and Oh, to see your bright, smilin’ faces, life is so very good and I am so very blessd, TTFN, SAO

August 1, Where Did July Go????

Posted By on August 2, 2009

Hello my buddies!!!!! I know you weren’t expecting to hear from me before my return, but I was able to borrow one of the Grandangel’s Hello Kitty laptops once I got to KC and just had to touch base. I’ll try and post again before I return to CA but I just couldn’t let another month begin without sending my love and hugs to everyone back in VA.

My, oh my, where has the time gone? So much to do, people to see, loads to catch-up on and you KNOW how I love, love, love the beach, so I haven’t stopped for nary a moment other than to get some much needed restorative sleep and even then, my mind was all awhirl………………… I will have SO many pics to post upon my return but for now, I am simply sending nature beauty shots that simply took my breath away.

As wonderful as it is to travel and visit with friends and family, I am just as torn by being away from everyone I have grown to love and care for in my newest journey residence of Virginia. Life is so very precious and meant to be held tightly and treasured with every breath you take and each moment that passes and I am so very blessed beyond measure to be able to enjoy that which makes my heart sing………….

Enjoy the pics and know how very much you are all missed and thought of daily, more later, as ever, SAO
