Today is the big day – we cast on for Project Two of Camp Loopy. I am using Swans Island Yarn from the Loopy Ewe.
Here is a link for the pattern that I got at Ravelry.com for LINE BREAK.

I have not used this yarn before but I love the way it looks and feels!

Instead of being in COLOR CANOES this time – we are in BUG GROUPS. Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I am not a big fan of BUGS. I think growing up with three brothers may have had something to do with this…….and then maybe I was just born this way! 🙂 ACTUALLY I do kind of like lady bugs so I was hoping that the weight of my yarn would put me in a lady bug group.
Actually I am in the Lightning Bug group and I guess that is the second best bug. 🙂 If I had been a butterfly or moth I might have had to drop out…..lol. We all have our phobias – some people do not like snakes, some do not like spiders, some do not like to fly or travel over bridges – I do not mind any of these things……go figure. BUT I can barely stand the sight of a moth or butterfly. It is quite an UNPOPULAR thing to NOT LIKE – let me tell you! 🙂 I am going to move forward and just pretend that these lightning bugs do not have those big wings! 🙂
So much for true confessions….LOL. I am ready to cast on……have fun at Camp Loopy everyone!
You definitely fit in with the “liighting bugs” as you liight up so many lives. Your beautiful smile and happy spirit and words have lifted me so many times and I love all your adventures. Are you sure Catherine shouldn’t be taking up knitting? and join you. Love that color of red and it will definitely look good on you. Judy C sends her best wishes for your successful shawl.
That is going to be a lovely shawl. I looked at the photos on Ravelry. I have been looking for a pattern to use to make my niece a shawl. I think this is the one. Thanks!
