Day Two of Tour De Quilt at Quilter’s Corner

Posted By on October 17, 2008

It was a PERFECT day today – Day # 2 of the annual Tour De Quilt at Quilter’s Corner in Midlothian, VA.  Not only did we munch on Toll House Cookies, Pumpkin Bread and Brownies but we also had Pumpkin Spice Coffee and Carmel Spizzle Coffee as well.  Oh, the Club House smelled SO GOOD!

We had lots of fun seeing friends, fellow guild members and new folks.  I took pictures of some awesome quilts, some WONDERFUL cat adorned clothing, purple cell phones, just whatever inspired me at the moment!  🙂

Remember to click on the picture snippets to see the full pictures.  The first ones are of an antique Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt, handmade and hand quilted by Ginger’s great- grandmother….and it ends with some doll quilts that Ginger has been having fun making.

Note the Purple Braid Quilt that I finished binding today!  Sara Parrish did the quilting and it is SUPER LOVELY!  She did a great job and custom quilted it – I was so surprised and pleased!   YEAH.  I am holding it and in the next picture Marla and Ginger are holding my quilt – because they picked out the fabric and I think they did a great job.  This quilt will be given to my neice, Amanda, whose favorite color is purple!

And one more thing – please note how happy at least TWO WOMEN are – dancing for joy (no names mentioned – but THEY KNOW who they are)……and don’t forget to notice the quilt that is made from variations in black and white fabrics that represents the face of Thomas Jefferson.

Come to Quilter’s Corner Saturday and Sunday and you, too, can have TOO MUCH FUN!
