Williamsburg – Colonial Piecemaker’s Meeting – June 09

Posted By on June 6, 2009

Today was really a lot of fun at our Colonial Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild meeting.  We had LOTS of crib quilts to donate and lots of grown up quilts to donate to cancer patients who are journeying through a very difficult time battling cancer and having chemo therapy.

And that’s not all – we had the cutest array of JUNE BUG BLOCKS BOM – and the lucky winner will be making a quilt to show us all soon!

And that’s not all – we had some WONDERFUL SHOW AND TELLS – what inspiration – what creativity – what fun.

And that’s not all – we had our second UFO parade.  This has been wonderful as a motivator to turn in five UFO’s that we wanted to finish.  I am only sorry that I didn’t get pictures of everyone’s UFOs – I was in line to show two UFO’s so I missed out on taking pictures of all of them.  I donated my Log Cabin UFO – with a Bonnie Hunter Scrappy Back – to the hospital for the cancer patients.

I didn’t get a picture of Marla’s FAIRY QUILT at the guild UFO parade today and I was so disappointed ….it is so fantastic…..so I am going to include a picture of it that I took when it was in process!  I also included an earlier picture of my other UFO.

And that’s not all – AUGUSTA COLE was with us and she gave us a COLLAGE OF TIPS AND TRICKS…….she is just SOOOOOOOO much fun……full of energy and great ideas.  LOVED IT ALL!

We are all supposed to save our money for the December meeting – we can then BID on other people’s UFO’s that they don’t want to finish!  I little bird told me that Marla had also been donating STACKS of fat quarters and projects that haven’t even been started yet – complete with patterns!  This is going to be lots of fun!

Remember that you can double click to see a larger picture……..enjoy!
