California Fair Cuisine

Posted By on August 10, 2009

In my absence I see that there has been no lack of entertainment – complete with pictures.  Thanks Catherine!  🙂

I have now landed back in VA !  I have had many wonderful adventures while I was in CA and MO………I will share some of my fun adventures in tiny posts here and there.

OK – so here goes – one of the most unusual things that I did was to

……eat chocolate covered bacon at the Orange County Fair.  As you can see this treat produced  a variety of reactions from members of my family!  While I enjoyed the chocolate treat (and broke my tooth enjoying it) I did NOT sample the fried frog legs!

  1. My family is from SoCal too and my nephew was the first of my crowd to go to the OC Fair and post about the chocolate covered bacon on Facebook. And then a friend of mine in Dallas posted about it, so I expect we’ll see it at our fair too. So it was good? I can’t even imagine. I love both of those separately, but together?

The chocolate covered bacon was unbelievably good – the chocolate was thick, cold and creamy and the bacon was thin and crispy – I know it doesn’t sound good – but it was!

Thanks for your comment on my blog – and BTW – I love your tip about keeping track of rows on your quilt wall!
