Sit and Stitch at Quilter’s Corner 8 21 09

Posted By on August 21, 2009

We had a FULL HOUSE today at Quilter’s Corner in Midlothian, VA.  We had an extra dose of giggles here and there and some of us even sewed and shopped a bit!   There was a bit of TEACHING here and there – and some RACING (yes, I said racing…….Sherry was racing to see who could finish binding her quilt first – was it going to be Sherry or sao?  Come to find out, MISS SHERRY had two sides of HER QUILT finished before the race began…..and she won!)  Sherry did win one race – without cheating!!!  She finished her THYME TO WATER QUILT before I did….mine isn’t even together yet!

Catherine finished embellishing her roll up bag – and she enhanced mine too – with beautiful stickers!  Catherine also had more beautiful jewelry to show – and an outstanding Victorian fold-out journal.  It was to oooohed and aaaahed over.  I am not sure what you call it – it might not be a journal, but it was a part of a challenge that Catherine, Sandie and Chris did last year.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of our day!  Oh yes, and in case you are wondering what a FLUTTERBYE is – it is a code word for butterfly since Catherine LOVES THEM and sao is trying to!
