30’s Club at Quilter’s Corner October, 2009

Posted By on October 25, 2009

I got inspired today – yes, AGAIN!!!  After looking at Marla and Cathy’s handwork and after seeing Joy’s BEAUTIFUL embroidered tea cup blocks, I think I am ready to try my hand at embroidery.  I bought some SULKY embroidery thread – and it isn’t like traditional embroidery floss that you have to separate (like in the OLDEN DAYS) .. yes, it just comes off the spool ready to use.  🙂

********** Quilter’s Corner now has embroidery supplies!!!! **************

And another inspiration hit me – I have also decided to make the Curvy 30’s quilt!  By the way, it DOES HAVE A NAME but for now it is the CURVY 30’s quilt!  🙂  Note Sheddy’s block in the pictures below.

Here are some of the pictures of our fun today – and yes, I did edit (*in case you noticed that the picture that I took of YOU is missing!!)

SAO – You are going to love embroidery using the Sulky thread. I use the Sulky 12 wt in Barberry Red for all of my Redwork. I do not think I would ever go back to DMC FLoss. Please let me know how you like it. Judy C in NC
