Catherine and I – SNOWED IN IN NORFOLK

Posted By on December 18, 2010

Catherine – met my flight in Norfolk as I was coming home from Kansas City – and due to the SNOWSTORM we holed up and had a wonderful IMPROMPTU 2 day retreat!

We had fun kicking back – working on projects – eating ice cream and of course there was lots of giggling and gabbing going on!  Catherine tea-dyed the dishcloth that I knitted and made a pincushion from it – talk about being creative!  I took pictures of the tea dying process so I could remember how to do it and get a marbled look (in case you wondered why I took so many pictures!!!)

Catherine finished her Spiderweb Quilt – and even quilted it herself – that really is awesome and NOT an easy thing to do!  It has inspired me to THINK about working on my spiderweb quilt!!!!

THANKS CATHERINE!!! I think I could get used to SNOWED IN RETREATS!!!  I hope you enjoy the pictures (taken with Catherine’s camera because someone – not mentioning any names – took the WRONG camera CHARGER with her to Kansas City and wouldn’t have had a camera to take pictures at all if Catherine hadn’t come to this poor soul’s rescue!)

Ok, I give up – does Catherine always travel with everything needed just in case she happens upon a retreat? What a friend!!! Do you both carry around bed scarves for the hotel beds? Ya’ll are sew prepared for whatever unplanned journey comes up. Love, love it. Wishing you a Christmas filled with family and friends and Good Health and Happiness in the New Year
