What’s on my DESIGN FLOOR?

What is on my DESIGN WALL – AKA Design Floor this week?
It is the beginnings of Judy Laquidara’s design – “DANDELION PARADE” and the pattern is free on her website at www.patchworktimes.com. If you go to her website you can also see this quilt in another colorway! I love Judy’s designs – and especially the pieced borders!
Mine is called Patriotic Dandelion Parade because it is being made with all scrappy red, whites and blues…….so it is a STASHBUSTER for sure. I have only made two blocks but I am really liking it. It will be donated to QUILTS OF VALOR.

Your Dandelion Parade goes patriotic is going to be wonderful. Bust that stash and what better than a QOV quilt. Judy C
Your patriotic parade blocks look great! Will it be finished in time for July 4th?
Great idea on going patriotic…I love Judy’s pieced borders too.
Judy does some great stuff. I just purchased her first two books this past weekend and looking forward to the one she’ll release in 2012 that according to her is full of pieced border ideas! Sandi
I really like your patriotic version, and that you are going to be able to make it from scraps.
I like the red, white and blue colors. Should make for a wonderful quilt!
I really like your version of Judy’s dandelion quilt. I too may make one like yours , red, white, blue for QOV too. The only change I’ll make is to make the pinwheel block in shades of blues since I have way more of this color in my stash than reds. Thanks for the inspirations. Dar in MO
I had not thought of it in that colorscheme – it is wonderful!!! I love it!!
