How time flies – it is that time again – to post progress on this wonderful Bonnie Hunter Quiltville Winter Mystery Quilt.

This week we are working on Clue 3 and here is my photo  to represent the block for Part 3 for  the Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt.

ONE of the things that I love about Bonnie Hunter’s designs are the MULTITUDE of small pieces.  I also like the fact that it takes WEEKS to make the quilt – no quilt in a weekend for me – I want SCRAPPY and COMPLEX.  LOL  I thought it would be fun to COUNT the number of pieces in this quilt as I go.  SO HERE GOES

Clue 1 – 760 pieces

Clue 2 – 2760 pieces (counting the bonus triangles)

Clue 3 – 960 pieces

SO THAT MAKES 4,480 pieces of fabric so far!

Since I am making TWO mystery quilts, that makes 8,960 pieces so far….WOW – that makes me happy!

To see what everyone else’s Part 3 looks like check it out ….
