Thimbleberries Auction 2009

Sunday at Quilter’s Corner in Midlothian, VA we had a lot of fun – it was our end of the year Thimbleberries Club 2009 potluck party and auction. Augusta was our auctioneer and my goodness was she ever good…..funny……effective……..lively…….we had a great time eating Christmas goodies and spending our THIMBLEBUCKS!
Here are pictures of the show and tell and the auction…..I am sure that you can almost hear the laughter!!! I had never been to a Thimbleberries auction before so I didn’t “have the strategy” for success. :):) I had my eye on a jelly roll and strip clubbing book toward the end and I wanted to bid on that – so I saved my BUCKS and at the end everyone was pooling their bucks and the bidding was going sky high……so in the end I didn’t win the jelly roll and I still had bucks left – but that was OK. The pure entertainment was really really exciting and fun. I am sure that Augusta slept well Sunday night!!!
My goodness, whata’ wonderful time was had by all, and so many familiar faces – ‘course who could go wrong with Augusta as the auctioneer!!!!!!!!!
