Step 1 of the PINEAPPLE CRUSH MYSTERY QUILT is Finished

Posted By on April 1, 2008

Bonnie K. Hunter, of Quitville.com posted our assignment for STEP 1 of the Orange Crush Mystery Quilt (mine is a PINEAPPLE CRUSH MYSTERY QUILT!) on March 31.  It was supposed to start April 1 – and in AUSTRALIA, March 31 WAS April 1st.  So we all got a nice surprise – our STEP 1 a day early!

Our assignment was to make 150 4 patch blocks from our scrappy 2″ light and 2″ dark strips.  I was PLANNING to work on this on my upcoming quilting retreat at Wakefield, VA – but alas, I have already finished!

Here are my 150 4-patches all pinned in bundles of 10!  If you want to make one – go to www.quiltville.com and look for the ORANGE CRUSH MYSTERY!

Great start, Shirley! I’m still cutting strips for this clue. Next week is Spring Break for us so hoping to get going with the sewing.

PLEASE HELP ME!! I want to make my son a quilt from baseball tshirts that I have saved since he was 5 years old..Alot of shirts..he is now 17 and a junior in high school. I want to give it to him for a graduating present. I can not find anyone to do it for me and have NO CLUE where or how to even begin. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
