Virginia Scrappers, July 27, 2013

Posted By on July 27, 2013

Yes, it is really me – long time no blog – long story, but I am BACK!  Not only am I back, but filled with quilty ideas and lots of inspiration that only comes from spending a day with friends – and that is just what I did today.  I spent the day with my quilting friends from Virginia Scrappers.

Because I am temporarily a left handed typist (and not a very good one either) this will be mostly about pictures!  We really did have fun looking at TREASURES (some cast off treasures from the result of CLEANING OUT SEWING ROOMS….but you know what they say – one woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure – or something like that!)

A big thank you to Carmen for the wonderful lunch and the magazines…..

to Catherine for the Klondike bars, the Hello Kitty Soap, the new products preview – and for the ride….the inspiration…. and of course for all of  the giggles!

to SKINNY Bonnie for the white peach and for sharing the projects …

to Linda for cleaning out your sewing room and sharing your projects….

to Vonnie for teaching me that you can GLUE the fabric onto the hexie papers…..WHO KNEW!

and Patsy – your photo was too blurry to include – but I enjoyed seeing you and your artistry in progress.

Yes, I am still working on my scrappy flower garden quilt…..and the trick with the plastic bag?  Well, I have no explanation for that one!

Wow…..

Yes, I really did take a picture of my Klondike bar…… 🙂

Sure have missed you – and wondered where in the world was Shirley? … bet she is traveling.
Glad to see you back and having all that fun with the Virginia Scrappers. We were in Midlothian, just overnight, the first of June for a memorial service at the State Police Headquarters – Did not have much time for anything but eating and sleeping. Just maybe we will both do better blogging – then again. Happy weekend from Judy C
